Yes! All Pure Encapsulations ingredients, including those derived from corn, are GMO free. We obtain statements from each of our suppliers certifying that the ingredients do not contain GMOs. For some nutrients, we conduct PCR testing to confirm the absence of genetically modified material.

Naturally derived ingredients can vary in color from batch to batch due to seasonal variations, including growing conditions and rainfall. This can result in some variations in color from batch to batch. Each raw material is tested at reception for identity, potency and contaminants to ensure ingredient quality.

While we always try to source certified organic ingredients, we are often unable to find organic ingredients that meet our strict microbial standards. While many studies have found comparable nutrient levels between organic and non-organic crops, pesticide residues have been a concern. For this reason, each plant-derived ingredient is tested for a full panel of pesticides (approximately 70 compounds), in addition to the standard tests for identity, potency, solvent residues, heavy metals, and microbial contamination.

If a product is labeled as vegetarian, that product is made without the use of any animal ingredients. If a product is labeled as vegan, that product is made without the use of any animal ingredients or animal-derived ingredients.

Pure Encapsulations does not use any peanut or tree nut derived ingredients. We do use MCT from purified coconut oil in our Vitamin D liquid but this has been purified (and tested) to remove allergens. While we do have a small number of products that contain dairy, soy, or shellfish, as a company that specializes in highly sensitive customers, we have strict allergen standard operating processes that prevent cross-contamination. Blending and encapsulation equipment is dismantled, sanitized and tested for allergens before each production run. Our raw material qualification process includes investigation and testing for allergens.
